The mind-numbing earnings week is done: all the big internet companies have announced their financial results for the first quarter. Didn't really pay attention? Here's a cheat sheet: the revenues of the big six, compared with a year ago. The takeaway? Microsoft's still huge, and growing. But take a look at the same numbers on a logarithmic scale, which better demonstrates each company's growth rate. As a thought exercise, let's assume each company maintains its current growth rate. (Putting aside the likelihood that both Microsoft and Google slow.) Extend the lines on the logarithmic chart: Google overtakes Microsoft in revenues in 2014.
